Our Process

A closer look at what happens between a first message and a finished repair — what to expect, and what's needed from you at each step.

STEP 01

First contact

Reach out by phone, the contact form, or email with a description of what the equipment is doing — a sound, a pressure change, a heater that won't light. The more specific the description, the better prepared the technician arrives. There's no cost to this first conversation, and you're free to decide afterward whether booking a visit makes sense.

STEP 02

Booking the visit

We confirm a date, typically within a few business days, longer during the opening and closing rush at the start and end of the season. You'll get a confirmation with the appointment window and what, if anything, to have ready — usually just access to the equipment pad.

STEP 03

On-site assessment

The technician runs the pump, filter and heater (where applicable) through their normal cycle, recording pressure, flow and electrical readings against our standard checklist. This is the same process whether the visit is a standalone Diagnostic Service Call or the first stage of a larger repair, and it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on how many components are involved.

STEP 04

Written findings and estimate

Before any part is ordered, you receive a written summary of what was found and what it would cost to fix. If the fix fits within the visit already booked — a seal replacement during a Pump & Filter Equipment Service, for instance — the technician can usually complete it the same day.

STEP 05

Repair and test run

Once work is approved, the technician completes the repair and runs the system again to confirm pressure and flow are back within range, comparing the new readings to the ones recorded at the assessment stage.

STEP 06

Handover and follow-up

You're left with the readings and a summary of the work. For the Premium Full-System Repair Package, a follow-up check is scheduled a few weeks later to confirm the repair is holding under normal use.

What we need from you

Clear access to the equipment pad, an accurate description of the symptom, and a reachable phone number or email for scheduling. That's it — there's no paperwork to prepare and no special appointment setup beyond making sure the pump area isn't locked or blocked when the technician arrives.

If pets are kept in the yard, it helps to have them inside during the visit, and if the pad is behind a locked gate, letting us know the access code or arranging for someone to be home avoids a wasted trip.

When the process looks different

A straightforward seal replacement or filter service usually moves through all six steps inside a single visit, start to finish, during a single scheduled appointment. A more involved repair — a heater control board on back order, for example — sometimes needs a second visit once the part arrives, in which case we'll tell you that clearly at the written-findings stage rather than let the timeline surprise you later. Either way, you always know where things stand before the next step begins.
