Our Services
Equipment repair and servicing for homeowners around Halifax, NS B3S 1A1 — three service calls, scoped so you know what you're booking before a technician arrives.
Diagnostic Service Call
When a pump sounds different, a filter won't hold pressure, or a heater refuses to light, the Diagnostic Service Call is where we start. A technician comes to the equipment pad with a pressure gauge, a flow meter and a multimeter, runs the system through its normal cycle, and records what the readings actually show rather than guessing from a phone description.
The visit ends with a written summary: what was tested, what the numbers were, and a repair estimate for any parts or labour the findings point to. Nothing is ordered or replaced during this visit unless the homeowner asks us to continue straight into a repair.
This is also the right starting point for a pre-purchase check on a home with an existing pool, or for a system that's simply running oddly without an obvious cause.
- Pressure and flow-rate readings on the pump and filter loop
- Electrical draw check on the pump motor
- Heater ignition and control-board test where a heater is present
- Written findings and a repair estimate before any parts are ordered

Pump & Filter Equipment Service
This service call is built around the two components that do the most work in a pool system all season: the pump and the filter. The technician opens the pump housing to inspect the impeller and seal, checks the motor bearings for wear, and either cleans or replaces the filter cartridge or sand-filter media depending on what the system uses.
Seals and gaskets are carried in stock for the pump models most common around Halifax, so a worn shaft seal rarely means a second visit. Once the work is complete, the system is run through a full cycle and the flow and pressure readings are recorded again to confirm they're back within the expected range for that equipment.
Scope varies a little by equipment — a cartridge filter and a sand filter are serviced differently — and the technician will walk through what's included for your specific setup before starting.
- Pump housing inspection, impeller check and seal or O-ring replacement
- Filter cartridge replacement or sand/media service
- Motor bearing and electrical check
- Post-service test run confirming flow and pressure are within range

Request this servicePremium Full-System Repair Package
When more than one component needs attention — a pump that's due for a seal, a filter overdue for service, and a heater that's been short-cycling — the Premium Full-System Repair Package covers pump, filter and heater work in a single scheduled visit. It's priced to reflect one mobilization instead of three separate call-outs.
Parts and labour for all three components are included in the package price, which is confirmed once the diagnostic step for that visit is complete. A follow-up check is scheduled a few weeks later so the technician can confirm the repairs are holding under normal use, not just at the moment the work was finished.
This package tends to suit homeowners opening or closing a pool who want the whole mechanical system looked at once, rather than chasing one fault at a time across the season.
- Combined pump, filter and heater repair in one visit
- Parts and labour for all three components included
- Follow-up check scheduled a few weeks after the repair

Who this is for
Homeowners with an ageing system
Equipment that's run for several seasons and is starting to show it in noise, pressure or temperature.
New owners of an existing pool
A diagnostic visit is a practical way to understand what you've inherited before the first season.
Owners planning ahead of a season
Booking equipment service before an opening or closing rather than after something fails.
This isn't for pool construction, liner work or landscaping — see Pool Construction for how we support equipment on build-adjacent projects.
About the prices above
The prices shown are a starting range for each service call, based on the most common version of that job. The figure can change once a technician has actually looked at the equipment — a pump needing a non-standard seal, or a heater with a damaged control board, costs more than the baseline job. You'll always see the confirmed price before work begins, and the on-site assessment is what sets it, not the number printed here.
